Britney Spears just teased a future biography!
The legendary pop queen launched her music career over two decades ago, when she released her song ... Baby One More Time in September 1998. Since then, Britney Spears has gone through many ups and downs, with her marriages, her children, mental breakdowns and especially her conservatorship. Her father Jamie Spears has been her legal guardian and has been controlling over her life and estate since 2008.
Since the court suspended her father from being her conservator, the singer has been enjoying her newfound freedom, and discussing with fans what she hopes to do in the future. Recently, Britney asked fans to help decide her wedding location, and on Wednesday, teased that she was considering releasing a book in 2022.
Fans Help Britney Pick A Title
Britney Spears posted a photo of herself in a sheer, full-length bodysuit. In her caption, the singer mentioned she had been "carried away" the previous day, and ended up posting "four times" on her Instagram account.
The songwriter and dancer also announced that she had "great news", revealing she was considering releasing a biography the following year.
"Psssssss also great news … I’m thinking of releasing a book next year..." she wrote in her caption.
Britney was feeling indecisive about selecting a title for her potential biography, and asked her 35.4 million followers if they could share any advice.
"I’m having issues coming up with a title so maybe my fans could help!!!! Option #1 … “Sh*t, I really don’t know” Option #2 … “I really care what people think"!!!!” What do you guys think????" she concluded.
Fans of Britney had ideas of their own, and shared some fitting titles the singer could consider using for her biography. Others thought the title discussion was a jab at her sister Jamie Lynn, who was forced to change the name of her memoir from "I Must Confess” to “Things I Should Have Said” after receiving major backlash from Britney's fans.
"I Must Confess" is a lyric from Britney’s 1998 single, ...Baby One More Time.
"You should call your book: I must confess," a user suggested.
"Call it 'brave new girl' or 'my prerogative' or 'stronger than yesterday'" said another.
"Queen of shading your sister," gushed a fan.
"The things my sister shouldn’t have said," suggested a fan, responding to the title discussion.
Last week, Spears criticized her family for being inconsiderate during her conservatorship and refusing to help her when she needed it most. If Britney does release a biography soon, it'll be incredible to see her finally get a chance to tell her story, her way.
