Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities say two Centre County residents have been charged after they allegedly neglected to get care for a young child for nearly two weeks.

Police say that Jordan and Logan Wilkinson, both of Philipsburg, reportedly took the child to the pediatrician in late September for what the two said was a rash.

Police say medical personnel then discovered that the child had multiple broken ribs that were consistent with “non-accidental trauma.”

Investigators say a doctor also estimated that the injuries were sustained 10 to 14 days before the child was brought in for an x-ray.

Both Jordan and Logan Wilkinson been charged with a third-degree felony for endangering the welfare of a child.

According to court dockets, the two were arraigned earlier Monday and are free on unsecured bail.
